Sansei Grinder

The Sansei Grinder is a surface grinder in use here at Punch Tools.

A reciprocating surface grinder is used to create smooth, flat and parallel surfaces on tool and die components. 

Also known as precision grinding, this process involves the use of abrasive tools/wheels to remove small amounts of material from a workpiece. It is a highly accurate process that produces parts with tight tolerances and a smooth surface finish.

At Punchtools we use several different size surface grinders:

• Sansei: table size 16” x 39.5””
• Kent SGS-1244AHD Grinder table size: 12” x 48”
• Kent- Small:  Table size 18” x 6”
• Thompson Grinder: table size 14” x 48”"
