Porta Press | 2-in-1 Tube Slotting Tool
Porta Press Overview:
Versatile Usage: Can be used as a single station or multiple units can be installed like the Gang Buster. Ideal for light-duty applications, it can replace a massive press brake for tonnage and performance in light-duty punching. Consider the Porta Press as an alternative to the OBI punch press.
Compact & Lightweight: Weighs 150 lbs, making it easy to move around the shop. In contrast, the traditional OBI weighs 1,000 lbs and becomes a permanent fixture.
Adjustable Frame: Offers 5” of vertical adjustment with a maximum open height of 10” and a minimum of 5”. The OBI typically offers only 2” of adjustment for similar tonnage.
Variable Ram Stroke: Ranges from .625” to 3.5” across various tonnages. Longer strokes are generally preferred as they exceed the typical OBI stroke.
Cylinders: Double-acting cylinders are available to pull open the die set like the OBI, equipped with a spigot. Single-acting cylinders push down, and the die set is opened by springs.
